Kayaking into the northern sunset
Our partner Explore Harstad, let you paddle into the magic light of the northern midnight sun. Enjoy a night with your friends or loved one, and have a magic time.

With Vesterålen Tours, one of our partners, you can have a unike experience in the forest. Bring your camera and come along on a fantastic hike and visit the king of the arctic forest.
Camping in the city center
Explore Harstad offers mobile home camping in the center of Harstad. This is a perfect spot to start your journey, before you visit other fantastic areas in Northern Norway.
This service is open in July and August, and gives you the opportunity to rent a bike, kayak, or go visit the historic Viking sites. Explore Harstad offers a lot of different activities.
Eagle and moose safari in Vesterålen
This tour goes along a route known for both moose and sea eagles, with the guides from Vesterålen Tours.
The route is set up to give you the best chances to see the biggest land animal in Vesterålen and the biggest bird of prey.
Snow shoe hiking to the mountain of Keipen
A trip through the untouched winter landscape, along snow-covered paths in the mountains. Put on a pair of snowshoes and climb to the top of Harstad's local favorite, known for its impressive panoramic view of the arctic landscape.
Experience the real northern Norwegian feeling at Keipen.
Sauna and arctic bathing
Experience a day with wellness at Våg Ocean Sauna, at the harbour of Harstad. This is a opportunity to both test yourselves, and enjoy life at the same time.
Våg Ocean Sauna is placed just a few metres from Explore Harstads campsite at the harbour.
Sightseeing at the Adolf Cannon
The Adolf cannon, a giant from the Second World War that has survived in Harstad into the 21st century, has a range of up to 56 kilometers and a barrel wide enough to accommodate an adult person.
Of the four batteries at Trondenes fortress, only the Adolf cannon has been preserved in a well-maintained and working condition.
Home comfort & delicious food
At Røkenes gård, just outside Harstad, you can enjoy a menu of the best seasonal foods. All bred at at the old farm. Their signature food is home dried cod, lamb, and delicoius desserts.
At Røkenes gård, Arctic Vanlifes campervan guests can stay for free over night. Here you can enjoy traditional norwegian food, along with a round of golf at Harstad Golfpark.
