In Harstad you can still see traces of the WW2. At the Trondenes peninsula you can visit the worlds biggest land based canons. The Adolf canons where transported from Germany during the second world war and was established in Harstad to protect the germans from the allied war ships. Today you can visit the frightening war machines just minutes outside Harstad centre.
After a great visit at Harstad, you hit the road with your campervan and your loved ones, and drive towards the islands of Lofoten and Vesterålen. As the beaches gets whiter, the roads are getting narrower, and the mountains are getting steeper. This is where the magic really happens.
